Koicha (thick)
Ingredients
-Matcha powder (Grade A/B) - 3tsp
-Hot water - 60mL
Instructions
1. Sift 3 teaspoons of matcha powder into a small bowl to remove clumps.
2. Heat water to 70-80°C or 160-180°F.
3. Pre-warm the bowl with hot water, then discard and dry it.
4. Add the sifted matcha powder to the pre-warmed bowl.
5. Gradually add 60 mL of hot water to the matcha powder.
6. Use a bamboo whisk to vigorously mix the matcha and water into a smooth paste.
7. Slowly add the remaining hot water, whisking until it becomes thick and creamy.
8. Pour and enjoy the rich flavor of koicha in small quantities.
