Usucha (thin)

Ingredients

-Matcha powder (Grade A/B) - 2 tsp
-Hot water - 100mL

Instructions

1. Sift 2 teaspoons of matcha powder into a small bowl to remove any clumps.
2. Heat water to 70-80°C or 160-180°F.
3. Pre-warm the bowl by pouring in hot water, then discard and dry it.
4. Add the sifted matcha powder to the pre-warmed bowl.
5. Gradually add 100mL of hot water to the matcha powder.
6. Whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until the matcha and water are well combined and frothy.
7. Adjust the sweetness to your preference, if desired.
8. Pour the prepared usucha into a teacup and enjoy its smooth and frothy texture.
